Thank you for your purchase at Obsidian Studio. Below you will find information on the statutory right of withdrawal, on returns and on warranty for defects.

Instructions on withdrawal

Right of withdrawal

You have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason.

The withdrawal period will expire after 14 days from the day on which you acquire, or a third party other than the carrier and indicated by you acquires, physical possession of the goods.

In the case of a contract relating to multiple goods ordered in one order and delivered separately, the withdrawal period will expire after 14 days from the day on which you acquire, or a third party other than the carrier and indicated by you acquires, physical possession of the last good.

of your decision to withdraw from this contract by an unequivocal statement (for example a letter sent by post or an e-mail). You may use the attached model withdrawal form, but it is not obligatory.

To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.

Effects of withdrawal

If you withdraw from this contract, we shall reimburse to you all payments received from you, including the costs of delivery (with the exception of the supplementary costs resulting from your choice of a type of delivery other than the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by us), without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which we are informed about your decision to withdraw from this contract. We will carry out such reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of such reimbursement.

We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back or you have supplied evidence of having sent back the goods, whichever is the earliest.

You shall send back the goods or hand them over to us without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which you communicate your withdrawal from this contract to us. The deadline is met if you send back the goods before the period of 14 days has expired.

You will have to bear the direct cost of returning the goods.

You are only liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from the handling other than what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods.

We recommend packing and securing the item appropriately for transport.

Exclusion of the right of withdrawal

The right of withdrawal is excluded solely in the cases provided for by law.

Where the right of withdrawal is excluded for a particular object, we will inform you of this expressly before the contract is concluded.

Warranty for defects

Statutory liability for defects applies. Claims for defects become time-barred two years after delivery of the goods (§ 438(1) no. 3 of the German Civil Code).

To speed up processing, we recommend enclosing a description of the problem, the order number and, where possible, photographs showing the defect or non-conformity.

You may also use the complaint form, which makes reporting easier. Its use is not obligatory.

Should returning the goods prove necessary, we will inform you of the further steps by electronic means.

We process notifications of defects no later than fourteen days after receipt.

Cases not covered by the warranty

Liability for defects does not extend to damage arising after delivery of the goods where it results from circumstances attributable to the customer. This applies in particular to improper use, storage or cleaning, unauthorised interference with the object, mechanical damage, dropping, contact with water or chemicals, and other circumstances not caused by a defect in the goods.

Natural changes in the appearance of silver resulting from its properties — in particular oxidation or dulling of the surface — do not constitute a defect. Detailed guidance on correct use, storage and care can be found in the Jewelry Care article in the Field Notes section.

The statutory rights of consumers remain unaffected by the above provisions.

This English version is a translation provided for your convenience. The legally binding version is the German one. In the event of any discrepancy between the language versions, the German text prevails. This does not limit the protection afforded to consumers by the mandatory provisions of the law of their country of habitual residence.
